The Honey Rose Negroni
An elegant cocktail where the herbaceous depth of our 19-botanical amaro meets the floral lift of wildflower honey-kissed gin. The Honey Rose Negroni is a sophisticated, bittersweet serve designed for intentional sipping.
- Bittersweet
- Floral
- Spirituous
Ingredients
- 1.25 oz Pollinator Gin (Botanical-forward with floral notes)
- 1 oz Crimson Amaro (Bittersweet and herbaceous)
- 1 oz Blanc (White) Vermouth
- ½ oz Wildflower honey syrup (equal parts honey and warm water)
- 2 drops Food-grade Rose Water
- Garnish: Dried rose bud or a wide grapefruit twist
Instructions
- Prepare the Honey: In a mixing glass, combine the raw wildflower honey with a tiny splash of warm water. Stir until dissolved; this ensures the honey integrates with the cold spirits rather than seizing up at the bottom of the glass.
- Combine spirits: Pour the Pollinator Gin, Crimson Amaro, and Blanc Vermouth into the mixing glass over the honey base.
- Add the essence: 2 drops of rose water. This is a "seasoning" step—it should enhance the wildflower honey notes without becoming the dominant flavor.
- The master stir: Fill the mixing glass 3/4 full with large, cold ice cubes. Using a long bar spoon, stir gently but steadily for 30 seconds. You are looking for the glass to feel frosted and the liquid to become slightly viscous.
- Strain and serve: Double-strain into a chilled rocks glass over one large, clear ice sphere. The single large cube limits surface area, slowing dilution and keeping the bittersweet balance intact throughout the sip.
- The aromatic finish: Express a grapefruit twist over the surface to release the oils, then discard, or garnish with a single dried rose bud for a minimalist, elegant aesthetic.
